Islamophobia is the prejudice, opposition, hatred, irrational fear and prejudice against the Islamic religion or Muslims generally.
About understanding ISIS. The statements that I tend to agree with:
The purpose of ISIS has nothing to do with religion.
First of all, we cannot force others to believe one religion.
Secondly, we cannot attack other country unless you are protecting your land.
Thirdly, we cannot kill people who do not commit crimes in general.
Lastly, we cannot kill people who surrender.
On the psychology aspect. Chinese ancestors called Islamists Muslims “hui”
The meaning of the word “回” : to circle, to go back, to turn around, to answer… and so on.
Furthermore, we called Chinese Muslims as “Hui” ethnic group. The shape of this word is like drawing a fortress. The shape of a fortress is like a small circle inside a bigger circle, similar to mandala painting.
Carl Gustav Jung once said that mandala is one kind of mental expression of comprehensive self-nature.

It represents truth and absoluteness, two dragons are drawn to fight for the bead around the outskirt, dragons represent relativity, representing that we should react the relative world with absoluteness.

If we return to the past society. Morality was the main standard to judge a person,not material, money, intelligence, capability etc. You will find that people who are used to living in the free world might not be better than the Muslim men and women who truly have a belief.
As for the marriage system. It is said that the ancient Uyghur Muslims had unspoken rules：
Uyghur men could merry Han women, but Han men could not merry Uyghur women. But is this in consistency with Islamic doctrine?
Let’s hope that no more incident of harming each other because of fear. Communication, understanding, confronting and action are able to truly overcome fear. Pray is the most powerful action.
